A CERTAIN LIGHT

Turning one’s hand into a movie camera, motor and shutter. During my stay at Nanolab, I was able to delve deeper into the creation of pinhole cameras in Super 8 cartridges alongside Dianna Barrie and Richard Tuohy. I filmed several routes from my cabin into the forest around me, and recorded the accompanying sound with a cassette recorder. Both devices have circular mechanics, which resulted in a cyclical, continual experience of capturing image and sound through one’s own body.
