Straddling the line between photography and experimental film, Descubro el rayo, tus ojos tiemblan explores new possibilities concerning light: not only as a source of illumination, but as a principle capable of transforming the image and the viewer’s senses. Based on this premise, the work brings together a series of films in which the faces of eight actors are subjected to the dazzling, intermittent intensity of a strobe light, worked on live by the artist himself.

The piece seeks to push this process to the limit via pulsating lighting that animates faces, making them oscillate between presence and disappearance. We can only access them through the flickering that both reveals and obscures: a mechanism that places the actor on the edge of their perception and drags the viewer towards that same threshold, mediated by a screen overflowing with image and sound.
