We work year after year for the Mostra to improve and to bolster support for developing and creating projects committed to creative cinemaand to new cinematographic languages. In addition to the BAICC award (International Artistic Grants for Film Creation), for the second consecutive year we have added the eSe8_LAB 2024 development awards, endowed with an amount of 700€, which are awarded to the finalist projects participating in our INPUT 2024 professional meetings. In this new edition, Daniela Delgado Viteri, Raffaella Rosset, Manuel Mateo Gómez and Bárbara Guerrero González will be the beneficiaries who will receive this economic boost to their projects for their completion.
All of them, together with BAICC, add up to a total of 5 eSe8_LAB awards granted during this year 2024, which consolidate and expand our work in support of daring and free film projects. In addition, from the (S8) we hope to include all of them in the programming of the next edition, also offering them a suitable space for public exhibition.
eSe8_LAB is a project developed by the non-profit Cultural Association eSe8, within the framework of the (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico, which has been financed since this year by Agadic – Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais its program of grants for laboratories, incubators and residencies for audiovisual projects as well as the support of the Luis Seoane Foundation.
