- The period to sign up is now open until 10 June to take part in this unique opportunity to produce an analogue audiovisual project in Toronto (Canada).
For the seventh year running, we are launching the International Artistic Residencies in Cinematographic Creation (BAICC) in collaboration with Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and LIFT, the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto. The aim, which has remained unchanged since the first BAICC in 2017, is to help open up new paths for emerging creators, fostering bonds for exchange with an institution of international relevance such as LIFT.
The call will remain open until 10 June. Anybody born or residing in Spain with an acknowledged artistic track record who wishes to carry out an audiovisual project in analogue format (35 mm, 16 mm, Super 16 mm or Super 8 mm) can take part.
Before 30 June, we will know the name of the person selected to participate in a residency of between 4 and 6 uninterrupted weeks in Toronto (Canada). This is also a great opportunity to discover new work environments and share professional experiences. The result of their work will be premiered at the 15th (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico in A Coruña.
BAICC is a project by eSe8_LAB funded by European Union – NextGenerationEU as part of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts’ Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience, thanks to the aid for Laboratories and Incubators for the Creation and Development of Audiovisual Projects. It has the backing of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and LIFT, the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto.
